Homeless Veterans to Lobuche East
Over 3,000 veterans sleep rough across Australia every night. RSL LifeCare’s Homes for Heroes Program provides safe and secure accommodation, as well as rehabilitation services, to returned veterans and their families if they are homeless. Our young veterans come from a variety of backgrounds, but all have had trouble assimilating back into society after their service to the nation. Physical and mental injuries are prevalent, as sadly are relationship break-ups and an inability to cope with day-to-day life. We will give them another chance. We believe that no one who defends our home should ever be without one.
We are a group of serving Australian soldiers heading off to Lobuche East, a 6119m peak in Nepal to raise money for homeless veterans. This will be an expedition style climb within the Himalayas, in some of the harshest conditions a climber can face. Lobuche East is one of the acclimatization peaks before attempting to summit Mt Everest, it is not for the every day climber.
Help us give these Australian Heroes a chance and repay them for what they have done for Australia.
All donations go towards homes for heros
